Xiaomi Mi, the Chinese smartphone creator is spotted working on a flexible display. As per reports by The Verge, various leaks suggest that the smartphone creator is working on a flexible display technology. There are a few images as well as a brief 30-second video which expose the bendable display running Xiaomi’s MIUI 8.
This video shows that display is turn on the palm of the user. Moreover, it is also responding to the touch responses that the user is making. There is no other information for the device’s classification as of now.
Xiaomi is scheduled to be unveiling the successor to its Mi Note, the Mi Note 2 at an exhibition in Beijing, China on October 25. Recent leaks for the smartphone suggest that the device might proceed with a bezel-less display.
As per the leaks on Weibo, the device’s display has no bezel to its side. The smartphone is also drop out on the array of sensors as well as a front-facing selfie camera, according to the leaks.
Previous report and leaks hint at the smartphone sporting a 5.7-inch display. Under the hood, the Mi Note 2 is expected to roll a Qualcomm’s latest flagship hardware- Snapdragon 821 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM.
The device is supposed to be made available in 64GB and 128GB storage variants. Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is expected to be powered by a modest 3600mAh battery with quick-charging capabilities.
A few leaks in the past also indicated that the smartphone will highlight a dual-camera setup as seen on the Xiaomi Mi 5s. The dual-camera setup is expected to be packed with two 16-megapixel sensors.
The device would use one sensor to capture images while the other sensor is supposed to work like a depth sensor where it’ll break the foreground and the background correctly to deliver softer defocus. The back camera also gets a dual-LED flash with tone correction.
